First call for FLRC's February 18 indoor track meet at Barton Hall

Though it has been shorts weather for outside running this week, temperatures are slated to drop back to the point where Barton Hall will feel like a nice respite from the cold. Our second winter indoor track meet of the season is coming up at 9 AM on February 18. (The final indoor meet is March 10.) All ages (seriously!) and abilities (really!) are welcome, and when you’re not running, you can enjoy watching some of the area’s best runners compete.

Check the meet page for all the details, but here are the key bits:

  • Events: For the February track meet, we’re going longer and shorter, with the 5000m, 60m, 800m, 200m, and 4x200m relay. Field events will include the long jump and high jump. Compete in as many events as you like for the same fee.

  • New to track? If you’ve never run a track meet before or never run one of ours, check out our First-Timer’s FAQ for Track Meets.

  • Easier registration: Our new Webscorer registration system worked well in January, but reply here or email me at ace@tidbits.com if you have issues. Also contact me if you need a new club or school team added to the menu.

See you at Barton Hall on the 18th! If you want to check out the track beforehand, come to a MITHACAL MILERS Tuesday night workout for club members. Watch the Group Runs & Workouts category on the forum for details.
