First call for FLRC's Strides of March track meet at Barton Hall on March 16

Our third and final indoor track meet of the season, the Strides of March, is coming up next week. Join us at 9 AM on Sunday, March 16, at Cornell’s warm, dry Barton Hall. All ages (seriously!) and abilities (really!) are welcome, and when you’re not running, you can enjoy watching some of the area’s top adult and scholastic runners compete. The 1 mile may feature some particularly fast times this month, as some local speedsters aim for PRs.

Check the meet page for all the details, but here are the key bits:

  • Events: The Strides of March will feature the 3000m, 60m, 1 mile, 200m, and 4x200m relay. Field events will include the long jump and high jump. Compete in as many events as you like for the same fee.
  • New to track? If you’ve never run a track meet before or never run one of ours, check out our First-Timer’s FAQ for Track Meets.
  • Registration: When registering in Webscorer, please follow the instructions on how to enter seed times correctly. Reply here or email me at ace@tidbits.com if you have questions. Also contact me if you need a new club or school team added to the menu.
