High Noon men’s roster for PGXC #2 on 10/6/2024

Good day, @pgxc-high-noon. This weekend brings our second race of the 2024 PGXC season at Everest Park in Auburn. It’s about a 45-minute drive, and we usually stop at Summerhill Brewing in Groton for lunch on the way home. Carpool logistics will be coming later this week.

As far as the roster goes, here’s what we have so far. We will need to combine some teams, so sign up soon. The more people you can recruit, the better! Make sure to register in RunSignup and on the High Noon roster sheet.

Remember that I must build teams in advance of the race, so late signups cause stress, and no-shows cause even more. If you need to change your plans either way, let me know directly via a post here, email to ace@tidbits.com, or text to 607-275-9557.

Open (5 to score, 9 can run)

  • Augustus Pendleton
  • Brian Wegman
  • Eliot Benman
  • Jason Jenks
  • Jon Lewis
  • Josh Nogaret
  • Mik Kern
  • Patrick Milano
  • Ryan Allen-Parrot

Full team! It’s great to see plenty of open runners showing up. If we get more signups, I’ll build a second team.

Masters (5 to score, 9 can run)

  • Devan Berry
  • Jay Hubisz
  • Patrick Boyle (?)

With a few of our regulars out of town or off doing other races, it’s looking like we’ll run some of the Vets down to complete a team.

Vets (5 to score, 9 can run)

  • Adam Engst
  • Damian Clemons
  • Jesse Koennecke
  • Roger Moseley

This looks better than it is since I’ll be doing run/walk at best. If we end up with another Vet runner, I’ll have to juggle whether it’s better to have a Masters or Vets team.

Super Vets (3 to score, 5 can run)

  • Allan Filipowicz
  • Casey Carlstrom (?)
  • Sean Nicholson (?)

We only need three, and Carl will probably have to run down from Ultra Vets, so Casey and Sean, can you commit?

Ultra Vets (3 to score, 5 can run)

  • Carl Franck

Joel’s still on the DL from what I hear, and Charlie can’t make it due to an anniversary or somesuch event that would probably be even better celebrated with the group but whatever , so hopefully Carl can complete a Super Vets team.

Adam

I sorry… I have not been in touch. Life has been a little nuts.
I have battled some hamstring issues… reinjured it once already. So i am taking it real slow.
I think i will be ready for race #3.
Hope you are doing well.

Joey R

so hopefully Carl can complete a Super Vets team

Put me in Coach, please!

Looking forward to having you back, @joeknowssoccer!

You’re in, but we need to do some more recruiting in the Super/Ultra Vet category. STC and GVH both had THREE Ultra Vet teams last race.

Hey! I was a bit presumptuous over my health and just caught a cold over the weekend that still has my breathing a bit weird while running, so I’ll play it safe and say I won’t make it. Sorry!

Sorry to lose you, but no need to share your germs. :microbe: Feel better, and we’ll look forward to having you on the team in a future race.

@pgxc-high-noon, we’ve had some good motion toward completing teams!

Vets (5 to score, 9 can run)

With Bob Swizdor stepping up, we have a full Vets team for Sunday (and I had a good 10x2-minute run/1-minute walk session with Alex today, so I hope to replicate that in the race).

  • Adam Engst
  • Bob Swizdor
  • Damian Clemons
  • Jesse Koennecke
  • Roger Moseley

Masters (5 to score, 9 can run)

With Columbia Warren rearranging his plans to run, we have three on the Masters team now, and thus need two more. Who can make it to complete the team? Patrick Boyle, Brian Lazzaro, Jordan Varano, Dan Timmerman, Audun Dahl? We have the depth—we just need people to run.

  • Columbia Warren
  • Devan Berry
  • Jay Hubisz

Super Vets (3 to score, 5 can run)

That leaves Super Vets, which is also down just one. Casey Carlstrom, Jamie Loehr, Bob Walters, Joe Nolan?

  • Allan Filipowicz
  • Carl Franck

I plan to run, so can round out the Super Vets

That’s great, @casey, thanks. Full team!

On the Masters side, Scotie Jacobs (@scotiej28) and Vinny Cappadora (@vinny-cappadora) have signed up too, so we’re full there too.

Guys, here’s a link to the carpool and lunch logistics if you want to join…

Sadly, @pgxc-high-noon @pgxc-flrc, Vinny’s down with a knee injury so unless someone knows a 40+ runner, we won’t be able to field a full Masters team. Any last-minute possibilities?
