Hypothetical Runner Man Question #2

Hypothetical Man signs up for a race two months down the road. Should he run regularly with two days of rest each week until the race or run the same distances/paces/etc. with very little rest until the week before the race, then rest a whole lot? Assume the same total mileage for each scenario and the same aggregate rest days also. Thanks, HypoMan.

Easy answer—building rest into a workout plan is essential, since the body needs time to recover from workouts. So definitely choice A, with running 5 days per week and resting 2, preferably after harder or longer workouts.
