Knee Pain Workshop for Runners – April 18 at 9a

Why Your Knee Pain Keeps Coming Back — And What Runners Can Do About It

Knee pain is one of the most common injuries runners deal with. This workshop is for runners whose knee pain won’t go away or keeps coming back despite trying stretching, ice, chiropractic care, or physical therapy. It’s also for runners who may only have a small amount of knee pain now but are thinking about what the next 10, 20, or 30 years of running might look like and want to address the issue before it becomes something bigger.

Many runners try stretching, resting, foam rolling, or strengthening exercises. Sometimes it helps temporarily, but the pain often returns when training picks back up. In many cases, the reason this happens is because the root cause of the pain was never clearly identified.

This workshop will help runners understand why that happens.

Dr. Arden Freedman of Rooted Movement Chiropractic will explain how knee pain in runners is often caused by movement issues elsewhere in the body and why the knee is often just the place where symptoms show up.

During the workshop you will learn:

  • The most common root causes of knee pain in runners
  • Why the knee is often not the true source of the problem
  • Exercises Dr. Arden regularly uses with patients in his office to help reduce stress on the knee and improve running mechanics
