@pgxc-flrc @pgxc-high-noon As those of you who have run in previous years know, our traditional cheer at the start of PGXC races prior this year was “Hoebeke! Hoebeke! Hoebeke! Go High Noon! Go Finger Lakes!”
While I was always amused by the absurdity of a cheer that name-checks a past runner that few have even met, it’s just too random now. (Rick Hoebeke organized the High Noon team for many years and won multiple age groups throughout his XC career before moving to Georgia a decade or so ago.)
With much back-and-forth brainstorming help from ChatGPT, I came up with this, and Tonya suggested the claps and a few tweaks. It worked well at the first race at Bassett Park, so we’ll keep with it, and I’ll feed everyone the lines until we’ve got them down.
The women take the first line, the men the second, and then everyone combines for the remaining lines.
