Register for Hartshorne before Dec 3 to guarantee your hat color preference

Are you 40 or older? We have a race just for you! The 57th Hartshorne Masters Mile will be held at Cornell University’s Barton Hall on January 17. It’s only 8 laps (plus 9 meters) on Barton’s 200-meter track, and the weather inside is guaranteed to be warm and dry.

Although this track meet features some of the top national and international masters milers, we encourage all local masters runners—those at least 40 years old (women 35 to 39 can race but not win prizes)—to experience big-time track racing. Last year’s race saw two women set world records in the 85–90 and 90–94 age groups.

Regardless of your age or pace, everyone will be treated like an elite, with fully automatic timing, starting line introductions, race announcing, suit-wearing race directors (including yours truly), professional race photos and videos, and a Statler-catered lunch at the post-race award ceremony. We’ll even help you train at our Tuesday night MITHACAL MILERS workouts.

All runners will receive a custom embroidered Hartshorne hat in maroon or purple. Sign up before December 3 to guarantee your color choice.

Register today and join us for a unique racing experience!

Hey,
If I’m volunteering again can I reserve a maroon hat?
Thanks!

Certainly! We hope to have enough for all our volunteers.
