@snowshoers The snow and cold weather have created fantastic conditions for snowshoeing. We’re going to be out again tomorrow night, Wednesday, running the trails at Hammond Hill. Meet at 6:15pm in the parking lot on Hammond Hill Rd. The run will start in the public parking lot. The lot’s address is (roughly) 100 Hammond Hill Road, Freeville, NY 13068. Do not follow GPS directions via Harford Road—it is not passable. Instead, come via Irish Settlement Road.

Come dressed to run. Bring a headlamp, dry clothes, and a warm coat for afterwards. All paces are welcome. I’ll plan to lead a group around an 8-10k loop, Tonya and Sarah will be leading a 5k course. This will not be an out and back run, so please review the Loomis course map before arrival. I know there are people who have extra pairs so if you are interested in coming but do not own your own snowshoes post below and see if we can match you with someone who can loan a pair.

Afterwards, we will be heading for food at to Brewers Kitchen & Taproom

I will bring two extra pairs of snowshoes for others to try—reply here if you want to borrow them. I also have an extra headlamp. First come, first served!

It’s also easy to do 2 miles out and back, and I may do that if someone isn’t up to the 5K with Tonya and Sarah.

Folks: just learned that Brewers Taproom is closing at 5 PM for a private event so you will have to find a different post run meeting place

Thanks Bob, At the moment it looks like there is only 3-4 planning to have dinner, so we can come up with a plan on the hill.
