Update #25 for the 2026 FLRC Challenge

Tough week here, so this has to be short. First off, belated congratulations to Courtney Hill for completing the FLRC Tough Tarmac Ultra Challenge on September 26, with a running time of 5:19:25 and a total time of 7:36:18, well under the 12-hour limit—I forgot to mention it last week. This week brought our second FLRC 100K Ultra Challenge finisher, Dennis Stadelman, who ran all 10 courses in a thoroughly documented 16:43:41. It took him a total of 21:36:16, easily under a 24-hour limit, and not cutting it nearly as close as Pete Kresock did.

Other @Challengers who deserve special mention this week include Gideon Smith, who completed his Classic Challenge this week, and Yamil Andres Molina Blandon, who finished an impressive 30-course Personal Challenge. Way to claim your medals, guys!

In terms of the leaderboard, as far as I can tell, there are no changes at all this week apart from our mileage monsters adding to their totals and a few other numeric twiddles. Perhaps a pause before the storm in the last few weeks…

Photos of the week go to Dennis Stadelman for this gorgeous night shot of Beebe Lake and his post-ultra selfie.

This weekend brings the Danby Down & Dirty, which offers either a direct course completion for 10K runners or an Abbott Ascent course completion for 23K runners. Have a great time covering the ground out there, folks!

Any @Challengers running the Down & Dirty tomorrow can look for the blue and yellow Challenge sign to know when to hit the split button in their watches and record accurate Challenge course times. 23K runners can log their splits for both the Danby 10K and the Abbott Ascent courses.
