Volunteers needed for home XC race at Taughannock Falls

With race #2 of the PGXC series now behind us, we’re looking ahead to race #3 on Sunday, Oct. 20. This will be FLRC’s home cross-country meet. It’s a 6k course at Taughannock Falls State Park.

It takes a bunch of course marshals to run a successful XC race (there were 240 finishers at last Sunday’s race #2 at Everest Park near Auburn). This is a first call for volunteers to help put on our home meet at Taughannock. We need several course marshals to direct runners around the 6k course (a nice opportunity for parents with children) and to help with traffic control. If you can spare a couple of hours on Oct. 20, please sign up on Helper Helper.

If you have any questions or any difficulty signing up feel free to contact me directly @JesseKoennecke.

Whether or not you sign up to course marshal, bring your friends and family and come on out and cheer on the women and men from all over upstate NY running the PGXC series!

@JesseKoennecke the helper help setup slots are full, but I was still planning to show up at 6 if you want extra help.

We could probably use the hands, if you are able. No pressure though. Thanks.

Leone timing is handling the timing, so we should be good for that. Thanks for volunteering and we’ll see you there.
