Volunteers needed for home XC race at TC3 Oct. 22

With race #2 of the PGXC series now behind us we’re looking ahead to race #3 on Sunday, Oct. 22. This will be FLRC’s home cross country meet. It’s a 6k course on the campus of Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden.

It takes a bunch of course marshals to run a successful XC race (there were 270 finishers at yesterday’s race #2 at Cato-Meridian High School!). This is a first call for volunteers to help put on our home meet at TC3. We need several course marshals to direct runners around the 6k course (a nice opportunity for parents with children) and to help with traffic control. If you can spare a couple hours on Oct. 22, please use the Helper Helper platform to sign up:

If you have any questions or any difficulty signing up feel free to contact me directly @CharlieF .

It’s a sure bet that Oct. 22 will be a gorgeous fall day at TC3 with bright sunshine and trees in spectacular fall colors. Whether or not you sign up to course marshal, bring your friends and family and c’mon out and cheer on the women and men from all over upstate NY running the PGXC series!

Hey- Helperhelper is full, do you have any other volunteer roles?

Hi Tammy,

No, sorry, at this point all the volunteer tasks are filled. C’mon out anyway and cheer on the runners! There are some easy viewing positions to watch the race.

Best.
