Weekly Young or Young at Heart Run #47

What’s that sound?! Perhaps it’s the gentle reverberation of ice melting? Or maybe HEARTS melting as Valentine’s Day approaches??? Either way, come run with us on Thursday, February 12 at 5:30pm through Fall Creek. Bring candy hearts or just your regular ol’ beating heart.

As a Valentine’s Day bonus, feel free to participate in the Stoplight Protocol! If you would like to participate, wear one of the following colors:

  • :green_circle: Green (Go): Single and ready to mingle/open to approaches.
  • :yellow_circle: Yellow (Caution): Potentially open to dating, but a little uncertain.
  • :red_circle: Red (Stop): Taken, in a relationship, or not looking for a connection

Any other color is an assumed opt out of this Valentine’s Day nonsense.

Our weekly Thursday run from Bike Bar meets at 5:30pm, and was set up for younger workers, students and other younger residents in the local area to meet up (as well as anyone who considers themselves Young at Heart, of course!), come for a run and maybe stop for a drink after without any pressure to ‘run fast’ or do any particular distance!

We typically set off running at 5:45pm, go in differing pace groups for around 30ish minutes, before returning for a chance to chat in Bike Bar afterwards - you can decide with the people running with you where you want to go, and how far too.

Whether it’s hot, cold, rainy or dry, just keep checking and adjust accordingly - we’ll still be running (and stopping for a drink/ chat after), no matter what. Bring your reflective gear and/or headlamps and join us and as a general note, please try to avoid wearing dark clothing for safety!

Please reach out to @jonlewis or me if you have any questions about coming for the first time, it is always lovely to have new folks attend their first FLRC run!

Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability, pace, or anything else. This is a free activity and club membership is not required, but please sign the waivers before your first run this year. You only need to sign the waiver once for all 2026 group runs, so if you’ve already signed it, you’re all set if you want to get involved in anything else.
