As you know, our MITHACAL MILERS indoor track workouts are part of the FLRC Family Running Program, where we try to provide running activities for both parents and children at the same time.
Kate McCormick and Lizzy Rayle (with some backup from Jon Lewis) have done a great job of wrangling the kids on Tuesday nights—we had 21 kids there recently! They deserve a big round of applause for making this program work every week since November.
But we’re winding down indoors, and the Ithaca Youth Bureau track program kicks off soon, so this week’s workout on April 15 will be our final kid workout of the season. Thanks to all the parents and kids who participated! (Please spread the word if you know parents who might miss this post.)
Starting in May, we’ll move down to Stewart Park for Summer Speed workouts, where middle school and older kids are welcome to run with the adults.
