Barton Tonight Time Tweak & Max Velocity Concept

Slight tweak tonight given most students and Cornell team are out for Thanksgiving, let’s try to start at 7:00 instead of 7:15.

I view pure speed as more a neurological adaptation and it’s something that most runners, including sprinters, let alone Distance runners most often neglect. The hope is to recruit as many muscle fibers in neuro pathway as possible, and that if we can raise your absolute top end, that your other physio zones rise with it. To achieve that the repeats need to be short, fast, and with full recovery.

Tonight we’ll do a warmup 7:05 - 7:20, 5 x Flying 50’s from 7:20 - 7:45, and Cool Down 7:15 - 8:00. Hopefully short and sweet.
