CANCELLED - Zone 2 and Chill - Monday December 8

Join us Monday night, December 8, for our biweekly chilled out group run! We meet at the pavilions by the Children’s Garden at 6:00pm and head out on the inlet trail for a 30-45 minute laid back run.

As of right now the “feel like” temp is in the range for us to hold the run, but if it gets below 0°F we will need to cancel, according to the club event cancellation policy. We will monitor and post a reply to this thread by 4pm if that is the case, so check here before you head down to Cass. Otherwise, it looks like it will be a dry evening, but it will be dark, so bring a headlamp!

The goal of these evenings is simply to get out and get moving with good company and good chat. The inlet trail makes for a great out and back route, with the focus on an easy pace and staying in those low heart rate zones to build a strong aerobic base.

If you are looking to restart or build up your running then this run would make a great opportunity to train using our FLRC Couch To 5K plan!

All paces and people are welcome! This is a free activity and club membership is not required, but please sign the FLRC 2025 Training Programs waiver before your first run this year. You only need to sign the waiver once for all 2025 group runs, so if you’ve already signed it, you’re all set—check here.

We hope to see you there!

Hello all,

We’ve decided to cancel tonight’s Zone 2 and Chill run. The ‘feels like’ temperature is forecasting to be between 9 - 13F (depending on which weather app I look at), and though this doesn’t necessitate a mandatory cancellation, I don’t want to risk folx getting too cold whilst being out in the dark.

Apologies to all, and we hope that the temperatures will be a little warmer for the next one. In the meantime, keep your eyes on the Forum for details of our Holiday Sweater run this weekend!

Note to self: check forum before heading out. The lack of wind was a treat!
