[Let’s try this again with the right days!!! Sorry for any confusion: Gorges is Sunday! -Adam]
With Ian’s Gorges Ithaca Half race on Sunday, we’re going to keep our Challenge group run short and easy again so anyone running on Sunday can use it to keep the legs loose.
On Saturday, 6/6, we’ll run the classic Lakefront Loops 5K course. Check the course page for a Google Map pin and RunGo directions, which are easiest to set up at home. There should be plenty of parking, and I hope the rink bathrooms will be open. Meet at 9 AM and after the usual milling, introductions, and answers to Challenge-related questions, we’ll start at 9:15 AM.
Please vote in the pace poll below so others can get a sense of who else will be running their pace. We have a wide range of runners, so you’ll generally find someone to run with.
- Sub-8:00-minute pace
- 8:00-9:00-minute pace
- 9:00-10:00-minute pace
- 10:00-11:00-minute pace
- 11:00-12:00-minute pace
- 12:00-13:00-minute pace
- 13:00-minute+ pace
- I plan on hiking
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability, pace, or shoe brand. This is a free activity, and while FLRC membership and FLRC Challenge participation are encouraged, neither is required. If you’re not running the Challenge, please sign the FLRC Training Programs waiver. You only need to sign once for all 2026 workouts and group runs, so if you’ve already done so, you’re all set. Subscribe to FLRC’s Races and Group Runs calendars so race dates, group runs, and other club events flow into your calendar.
