Couch to 5K 2026 - Week 8

Hello everyone - it’s the last week of the program!

As always, we will meet at the Large Pavilion in Stewart Park for our workout tomorrow, Monday, June 1 at 6.00pm. It looks like it’ll be warm and sunny, with a lovely breeze off the lake - perfect weather for a group run!

Tomorrow’s workout will be 2 x (15 min run / 5 min walk) - you will repeat this workout once more during the week. If you like you can then do a third workout of 30 min run, but if you are planning on running the Twilight 5K on Tuesday, June 9, feel free to do a shorter third run this week (e.g. 15 min run / 3 min walk / 10 min run) to save your energy for race day.

All the work you’ve been doing has been building up to these longer runs, so have confidence, keep it steady, and have fun!

I won’t be at the group run tomorrow, but I’ll be back in town to cheer folx on next week! As ever, please reach out to either of us if you have any questions.

A big hooray for everyone who is starting week 8! One last week and then the big one, for those who are running Twilight. Stay tuned for info on where to meet after the race so we can get a picture and properly celebrate.
