Couch to 5K - Week 1 information

Thanks so much to all who came to our info Zoom session yesterday - we hope it was helpful.

Our first group workout is this coming Monday, April 14, at 6.00pm. We will meet at the Children’s Garden parking lot, as the weather is currently looking a little hit-and-miss - we can hide under the nearby pavilions to do our warm-up and cool-down stretching! The session should take about 45 minutes total.

  • Please wear comfy clothes, and a pair of shoes you can run in - they don’t need to be intense running shoes, just a comfy pair of sneakers.
  • Please bring water, and it might be good to bring a small snack for afterwards.
  • We will start off with introductions as we do some dynamic stretches, then a short brisk walk before the workout.

If you are coming along to the Monday group workouts, you will need to register via Webscorer so that you can sign our group runs waiver. If you are just following along with the plan but exercising individually, you don’t need to register via Webscorer.

I’m planning to run Wednesdays and Fridays from Stewart Park 8am ish (after dropping off the high schoolers for zero period). Would love a run buddy or two or three.

A beautiful evening to complete the first C25K workout! I am so excited for you as you begin (or return to) your running journey. If you couldn’t make it tonight, you can complete week one on your own and join us next week at 6pm, at the large pavilion by the Children’s Garden. Hurrah!
