It’s time for the final, fabulous FLRC Challenge group run of the season, and in keeping with our sponsorship from the letter F, it’s the Freeville Fly-In! This 13.1-mile out-and-back course is flat, fast, and fun, and you might get to see planes taking off or landing as you run by the airport. Fantastic, eh?
We’ll meet on Saturday, 8/24, at 8:30 AM at Campbell Meadow Park off Lower Creek Road and start running at 8:45 AM. After the run, we can hang out and socialize with some refreshments. Please park tightly parallel to the road against the east- and west-facing fences for maximal occupancy, and carpool if possible. The alternative parking would seem to be alongside the road further down Lower Creek Road.
If you haven’t yet picked up your purple FLRC Challenge shirt, this is a great opportunity to get it from me. I’ll also have them at the FLRC Annual Picnic on September 19 (RSVP soon!), or you can contact me to arrange a pickup.
Please vote in the pace poll below so others can get a sense of who else will be running their pace. We usually have a wide range of runners.
- Sub-8:00-minute pace
- 8:00-9:00-minute pace
- 9:00-10:00-minute pace
- 10:00-11:00-minute pace

Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability, pace, or anything else. If you haven’t yet signed up for the Challenge, please sign the FLRC 2024 Training Programs waiver. You only need to sign once for all 2024 group runs, so if you’ve already done so, you’re all set—check here.)
