FLRC Challenge group run Saturday, 5/3 at 8:30 AM at Mulholland Waterfalls

This week’s group run will take place on Saturday, 5/3, at the Mulholland Waterfalls course, which is 2.7 miles of trails. Check the course page for a Google Map pin and RunGo directions, which are easiest to set up at home. The course is hilly and can be muddy—wear trail shoes if you have them. We’ll meet at 8:30 AM and aim to start at 8:45 AM, using the new sign that I’ll bring to replace the one that was stolen.

Parking is tight at the Mulholland Wildflower Preserve, with space for about 12 cars, so if 2.7 miles is shorter than you’d like, please consider parking at the Belle Sherman School on Cornell Street and running the 0.7 miles down Cornell Street, across Rt 79, and on down Giles Street to the start.

Neither FLRC membership nor FLRC Challenge participation is required, and everyone is welcome, regardless of pace, age, or bagel flavor preference. If you haven’t yet signed up for the FLRC Challenge, please sign the FLRC 2025 Training Programs waiver. You only need to sign once for all 2025 group runs, so if you’ve already done so, you’re all set—check here.)

This photo of happy runners was from the group run on last year’s short Duck Trails course.

I’ve removed the pace and carpool polls from this post, as they weren’t being used much. There will be people at various paces, and if you need a ride or have any questions, just reply to this post.

See you Saturday!

Well, that was a thoroughly enjoyable, if damp, run! @Petorius showed up just after the picture and I actually got to run with him at @patrickmilano for the first time in years. Hopefully not too much knee pain later today.

Tonya also recruited Knute, the Norwegian guy standing behind her, who had no idea about FLRC but was just coming to run on his own. He ended up running with Dirk and Molly and Meng and Laura and it sounds like he’ll be joining us more now that he knows about the club.

It’s always worth recruiting!

Sorry I missed the photo. It was such a good run I cropped myself in behind Heather!
