FLRC Group Run At Stewart Park Saturday 11/19 @ 8:30am

The next Saturday FLRC group run is this Saturday, November 19th, at Stewart Park on the Waterfront Trail. We will meet on the by the 2021 Challenge course start at 8:30am and run at 8:45am. We will head west on the trail along the lake, over the suspension bridges, and toward the Farmer’s Market, meeting up with the 2022 Challenge Inlet Shore Trail course. (View the course and download the GPX file.) Even though this is a “course”, this is an hour-long run, so when your watch hits 30 minutes, turn around and run back regardless of where you are. If you make it beyond where the “course” ends, just keep going and turn around at 30 minutes.

Details: The FLRC Group Runs are held on the first and third Saturdays of each month. This is an out-and-back run, so you can’t get lost! The standard run is an hour (30 minutes out, 30 minutes back), which allows everyone to start together and end together. There will be post-run snacks available so please stick around after for socializing to get to know fellow runners and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Please vote in the poll below so others can get a sense of who else will be running their pace. We always have a wide range of runners, so you’ll generally find someone to run with.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability, pace, or anything else. This is a free activity and club membership is not required, but please sign the waiver before your first run this year. You only need to sign the waiver once for all 2022 group runs, so if you’ve already signed it, you’re all set! (Check Webscorer to verify that you signed.)

Let’s try to reduce the number of car trips to fight climate change. Vote if you need a ride or can give one, and post a reply with meetup ideas.
  • I can give a ride
  • I need a ride

Is there a sign or anything to look out for where people are meeting?

Edit: nevermind found the group!

@heathercobb3 that was a really fun group run!! Where does the group photo get posted?

@Omar_Shehata right here! Just had a few things to do after the run and couldn’t post right away. I’m so glad you had fun! Hope to see you again!

This was taken after the run, so we are missing a few people who left right away or went out a bit longer than an hour. By the time I remembered before the run, we had already grouped up into paces and I didn’t want to muck that up.
