FLRC Group Run in Ithaca, Saturday 11/8 @ 9:00am

The next FLRC group run is this Saturday, November 8, in Ithaca on the Finger Lakes Trail heading toward Treman State Park. We will meet in the Finger Lakes Trail parking lot off of Route 13 at the Tapan Mitra Preserve at 9:00am and run at 9:15am. Even though gun hunting season does not start until 11/15, bow season is in full swing, so consider wearing bright colors for running in the woods.

(Note: During the regular gun and late muzzle-loader hunting seasons, from November 15 -December 16, the whole Tapan Mitra Preserve will be closed to the public. During the special Tompkins County Deer Management Focus Area hunting season, from January 13 – January 31, 2026, gun hunters may be hunting on the Tapan Mitra Preserve and the whole preserve, including the Finger Lakes Trail and the Sweedler Preserve at Lick Brook will be closed to the public during that time.

Details: This is an out-and-back run, so you can’t get lost! The standard run is an hour (30 minutes out, 30 minutes back), which allows everyone to start together and end together. Even though this is on trails, you’ll turn back when your watch hits 30 minutes elapsed time. Please RSVP below so we can plan food quantities. There will be people at various paces, and if you need a ride or have any questions, just reply to this post.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of pace, age, or bagel flavor preference! This is a free activity and club membership is not required, but please sign the FLRC 2025 Training Programs waiver before your first run this year. You only need to sign the waiver once for all 2025 group runs, so if you’ve already signed it, you’re all set—check here.
