A final message for tomorrow morning, directly from Dakota -

Hello runners!

My name is Dakota Jones and I’m thrilled to partner with the Finger Lakes Runners Club tomorrow for our group run, meeting at the Nevin Welcome Center at 10am. I’m emailing you because you have signed up, but please feel free to bring your friends, family, and enemies to join us. All are welcome.

This will be a noncompetitive run with multiple options. We’ll discuss with people in the morning about what you’re looking for and ensure that everyone’s needs are met. We’re looking to run between 45-60 minutes, probably between 5-10km, on trail and road.

The weather is not looking as wonderful as we’d like it to look. That’s ok, but please be prepared. Bring your cold weather and rain gear for the run, and a dry change of clothes for after the run. We will do the discussion at the Nevin center, which is roofed but open-sided. There will be food and warm drinks. With warm clothes and hot drinks we can have a cozy little party. Please bring a coffee mug if you have one.

Our discussion will be an opportunity to learn about climate change and what people are doing about it, even right here in Ithaca. We want to show you that your actions matter, whether they are big or small, frequent or occasional. I will tell some stories about Footprints and invite you to participate in whatever way you feel most comfortable.

Thank you for joining! Really looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Dakota Jones
