RSVP for the FLRC Annual Picnic at 5 PM on Thursday, August 24 at Treman State Park

Please join us for fun, food, and friends! FLRC will be hosting our Annual Picnic from 5–8 PM on Thursday, August 24, at Treman State Park’s North Shelter (the first one you get to when driving in). It’s an opportunity for the club to show our appreciation for our awesome board, race directors, volunteers, and members.

You get to eat great food and socialize with your fellow runners (without getting all sweaty) while we acknowledge FLRC Challenge finishers and hand out medals and Challenge signs. We’ll also have a swap table where you can give away running-related stuff and pick up things brought by others. Bring the whole family—it’s a kid-friendly event.

We need to get a head count by August 10 so our caterer, Fittnell Farms, can figure out how much food to order. The picnic dinner is free, though there is a $9 NYS Parks parking fee—carpool to cut costs and combat climate change. We’ll have beer, likely from Liquid State Brewing, along with non-alcoholic beverages for those who prefer them.

Just tell us in Webscorer if you’re coming and how many people will be in your party. We can also use setup (with some strong people to move picnic tables) and breakdown help—please sign up in Helper Helper.

Thanks for RSVPing by August 10, and we hope to see you there!

Is this going to be at Allen H Treman Park or Robert H. Treman park? Always find it confusing there are two Treman State Parks in the same city :woman_shrugging:

That would be Robert H. Treman’s version of the park. Check the link on North Shelter for a precise pin.

Keep those RSVPs coming so I can update the caterer with better numbers on August 17!
