Props to @Julie, who was apparently the only person to show up for the Sunday Skunkday run last week—I didn’t see her on my several trips to the door during the track meet to welcome people. The forecast looks much better for this Sunday, however, so I hope there will be a good group for @Klimchud to join on his trip down from Syracuse. I will not be there—Tonya and I are going skating on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, so big thanks to @lizhartman for standing in as the greeter. One request: please run on the sidewalks on campus since Cornell Transportation expressed some concern that these runs might impact traffic.
Meet at the front doors of Barton Hall (facing Teagle Hall, where Skunk starts) starting at 8:30 AM. I don’t know if Barton will be open, so it’s best to assume that you’ll need to meet outside and won’t have a bathroom.
Everyone is welcome, even if you’re not an FLRC member or planning to run Skunk. Regardless, you must sign the FLRC Training Programs waiver once for 2025.
At 8:45 AM, we’ll do quick introductions, split into rough pace/distance groups, and take a picture to prove our extreme hardiness. You can run out and back on the Skunk course or pick from one of these alternatives.
