FLRC Challenge group run Saturday, 5/30 at 9 AM at Mulholland Waterfalls

With Ian’s Cayuga Trails and Lucifer’s Crossing races providing all the trail distance anyone could want this weekend, we’re going to keep our Challenge group run short and easy. It will take place on Saturday, 5/30, at the Mulholland Waterfalls course, which is 2.7 miles of trails. Check the course page for a Google Map pin and RunGo directions, which are easiest to set up at home. The course is hilly and can be muddy—wear trail shoes if you have them.

Parking is tight at the Mulholland Wildflower Preserve, with space for about 12 cars, so if 2.7 miles is shorter than you’d like, please consider parking at the Belle Sherman School on Cornell Street and running the 0.7 miles down Cornell Street, across Rt 79, and on down Giles Street to the start.

Meet at 9 AM and after the usual milling, introductions, and answers to Challenge-related questions (yes, you can adjust your Personal Challenge now!), we’ll aim to start around 9:15 AM. Afterward, we’ll have bagels and cream cheese to fuel the socializing.

Please vote in the pace poll below so others can get a sense of who else will be running their pace. We always have a wide range of runners, so you’ll generally find someone to run with.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability, pace, or hair color. This is a free activity, and while FLRC membership and FLRC Challenge participation are encouraged, neither is required. If you’re not running the Challenge, please sign the FLRC Training Programs waiver. You only need to sign once for all 2026 workouts and group runs, so if you’ve already done so, you’re all set. Subscribe to FLRC’s Races and Group Runs calendars so race dates, group runs, and other club events flow into your calendar.

Last year, when we ran this, it was a bit wet, and Pete Kresock missed the photo, so he had to Photoshop himself in afterward. This year, we may have to use AI to add him to the photo.

hey folks, Pre ran this for you unknowingly this morning. Flowers are beautiful. Just a couple of muddy patches along the way nothing serious.

Hope you have a good run!
