Ooo! That’s so pretty!

During yesterday’s run, I ran up a big hill. I’m visiting family who live in a horsey area, and at the top of the hill I found not only a dead end but also a lovely looking trail with a sign saying “equestrians only - no pedestrians or dogs.” I was sad about the sign until I had the thought that the trails probably had horse poop all over it. There are trails instead of sidewalks along several of the good running roads around here, and horses use those trails often - as do pedestrians. I bring an old pair of running shoes when I visit here because there is no way to completely avoid the mud/poop mixture on those trails, and it’s difficult to get the smell out. Anyway, I turned around at the dead end and ran back down. One photo shows the extent of the hill, but the better photo shows the horse at the bottom.

After my run, I said “hello” to Tristan who had just completed his run in mismatched socks.

That route looks very peaceful, or you picked the perfect spot for the photo!

Cold morning run - so I mixed up my socks

and headed out to run up College Ave

(This is about the 3000th time I’ve run up that hill hence the happy expression). On the way up I spotted a little wreath
but no candy canes or icicles…nor did I see any as I made my way around Cornell campus. I guess LEED compliant buildings keep icicles away. I also didn’t see any partridges, er hens, in any pear, er pine, trees. Making my way home I saw a number of wreaths in the Belle Sherman neighborhood including one house that doubled up

Once home I warmed up with a big mug of my favorite cocoa mix - with a little additional chocolate syrup - and finally found a candy cane!

Mmm, I love hot chocolate as a way to warm up. Somehow, I’ve never had it with chocolate syrup, adding that to my shopping list this week.

Saw many many wreaths on this outing, but this was by far the best one!

I’m in Florida this week so pics look a bit different: Wreath selfie, Ibis instead of chickens, mismatched socks, Candy cane decor, and a cold drink after a run

That mug is the cutest! Paired with hot chocolate? Perfection.

Those are some great Florida swaps! Now I’m dreaming of the beach.

And that’s a wrap on Week 2! Week 3 is the final week and all are welcome to join!
