NEW LOCATION! FLRC Challenge group run Saturday, 5/2 at 9 AM at the Lab of Ornithology (Duck Trails)

Let’s try this again! Since parts of the Watefront Trail are closed for repair, we’re switching this Saturday’s group run to Duck Trails.

The 2026 FLRC Challenge is picking up steam, with 88 people setting themselves a variety of running challenges to complete by November 15. That’s plenty of time, but there’s no need to delay the fun of ticking courses off while running with friends, so sign up for the Challenge today!

To help get new folks oriented and so everyone can log another course, Saturday’s group run will be the soft and short 2.7-mile Duck Trails course at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Sapsucker Woods (check the course page for a Google Map pin showing the start and RunGo directions), which is one of this year’s Classic Challenge courses. After the usual milling, introductions, and answers to Challenge-related questions, we’ll aim to start around 9:15 AM. There is plenty of parking at the Lab of O. I imagine some people will want to run it twice to pick up some more miles.

Please vote in the pace poll below so others can get a sense of who else will be running their pace. We always have a wide range of runners, so you’ll generally find someone to run with.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, ability, pace, or anything else. This is a free activity, and while FLRC membership and FLRC Challenge participation are encouraged, neither is required. If you’re not running the Challenge, please sign the FLRC Training Programs waiver. You only need to sign once for all 2026 workouts and group runs, so if you’ve already done so, you’re all set.

Subscribe to FLRC’s Races and Group Runs calendars so race dates, group runs, and other club events flow into your calendar.

A little earlier in the spring this year!
